It's 2005 and it's time to look at the world with a new perspective. Where are you and where do you want to go in the next 12 months? Have you set your goals, designed a plan and are you ready to move forward?
Don't you just hate all those questions! Most of us will continue to do what we've always done and hope that we will continue to get what we have always gotten providing that's what we want! We are looking forward to being part of the new Professional Series being offered by the Learning Annex I will be offering a workshop. So, for those of you who live in the GTA this is a great opportunity to get your networking skills honed!
For us at ConnectUs, we are not going to do what we've always done we are going to move forward with the launch of several new initiatives. We won't change our RISE philosophy, we will continue to build Rapport, exchange Information, find Solutions Ethically. BusinessWoman Canada is on hold, but can be brought to life as soon as we have the advertisers to support the publication. Hayden Bradshaw, the publisher has launched a new publication this month called Enterprise , I'm pleased to say my articles will continue to be part of the new publication.
We've been talking with so many people who want to know where we find our resources the truth is we listen, we learn and we share what we hear. There is a new portal for women it's awesome, check it out! http://www.womensinfo.ca/ It is a one-stop shop to almost anything connected with women in business. FloWork, our networking system, is available to all our ConnectUs members. We are holding introductory workshops across the province and are calling these workshops The Power of ONE . We have recognized that while networking involves interaction with others, it is really a personal choice on how we maximize our networking skills The Power of ONE, helps you concentrate and utilize your own inherent ability when it comes to building the rapport you need to succeed. We know that there is a push from most major corporations towards relationship building FloWork is a system that will help you recognize the opportunity before you begin to build.
We have documented that many of the emails we receive ask similar questions so we are going to begin posting answers to as many of those questions as possible on our ASK Donna Forum. I love acronyms! Answers, Solutions and Knowledge.

As most of you know, we have been very active within our community and have spent the last 3 years developing a model/template for community redevelopment and revitalization. The model has been completed and documented and will soon be available to communities across the country that need revitalizing. We are delighted to announce that we have partnered with ACE Sheridan and will soon have an animated version of what the ConnectUs Community Improvement Alliance has accomplished. The video, called A Community in Motion will be a template for small towns in need of revitalization anywhere in Canada. We continue to host our Network to Get Work events each month on the 3rd Wednesday and we are documenting the successful connections that are being made if you have attended a Network to Get Work and it has helped you to grow your business or raise awareness to you or your product or service let us know and we will feature you in one of our newsletters.
